Irish Ferries talks break up without deal

RTE Business: December 09, 2005

Talks at the Labour Relations Commission between union representatives and management in the Irish Ferries dispute adjourned early this morning - again without resolution. The latest negotiations finished shortly after 2.30am.

The Chief Executive of the LRC, Kieran Mulvey, said he would be contacting both parties today to establish a basis on which negotiations could recommence.

Earlier, union officials said it would be unlikely they would be available for negotiations today as they would be taking part in a planned day of protest. They did not rule out returning to the LRC tomorrow or on Monday, however.
