New carriages for sleeper service

BBC News: 27 April 2006

Improved overnight rail services between London and the South West are to start running. The food and leg room on board has been improved.

New carriages on the overnight service will offer more leg room, reclining seats and better food, First Great Western has said.

The first of the upgraded carriages will be rolled out on 30 April on the London to Penzance route.

New carpets, toilets, bedding and berths are due to be added to the service later in the year.

The service calls at Reading, Taunton, Exeter St Davids, Newton Abbot, Plymouth and Totnes.
