Lobby Bristol City Council - Thursday 11th January, 2006
Please support Friends of Suburban Bristol Railways in lobbying Bristol City Council at the Council House, College Green on Thursday 11 January 2007, from 5.30 - 6 pm.
FOSBR has launched a campaign for a half hourly rail service between Bristol Temple Meads and Severn Beach. They have asked Bristol City Council to include a subsidy for the Bristol - Avonmouth service in their 2007/8 budget. (They have also contacted South Gloucestershire Council asking them to subsidise a half-hourly rail link bus service from Avonmouth to Severn Beach.)
FOSBR believe this improvement in public transport is the crucial first step to reducing congestion in the Greater Bristol area. Please help to show the strength of public feeling on this issue by turning up at 5.30pm on Thursday.
